Rob's Note: From Springfield's Len Emery. The Green Mountain Manifesto"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."The rallying cry is simple, Take Back America.Take it back from the corrupt politicians bought and paid for.Take it back from the greedy corporations that live for nothing but themselves.Take it back from the heavy hand of law enforcement. The outrage in New LondonWe should all be in New London Connecticut screaming at the tops of ours lungs about the gross miscarriage of justice there. Our ability to own our own property free from the tyranny of eminent domain is what his country is based on. Eminent domain, prosecuted by and for the corporation, can now seize property in the name of a corporation, not the common good. It could happen to anyone of us at any time simply because the view from our window benefits us and not a corporation. The Kelo versus New London decision substantiates the corporate infiltration of our political process.Who's Job Is It Anyway? How many American jobs have to be lost to foreign countries before we all wind up in a minimum wage occupation? As the corporations globalize and outsource the workforce and it's income and break the American worker down, they also break down America's greatest strength. Cheap goods from another country do not strengthen America. Wal-Mart DOES NOT offer anyone a full time job.The common mans vote The vote, the greatest tool any individual ever had doesn't count any more nor is it likely to in the future The bureaucrats have used religion, race and gender to separate us against ourselves. The vote is the single most powerful tool that Americans have. Don't let the corporations and the bureaucrats take it away by making it a weapon.Separation of church and stateA faith based government only undermines our Constitutional right to freedom of religion. We risk being locked an ideological war with the Moslem community forever if we forget that. Remove religion from politics and put it back in the churches, the synagogues, the mosques where it belongs. To protect and to serveTo protect and to serve who? Big government, the corporate legitimacy, the will of a mindless bureaucrat? Rarely do we see a case of protect and serve applying the American citizen. And then it's to protect us from what, Ourselves? Who protects us from the police? The police should be disarmed, period!America needs real leadership. Someone who can look downs the road ahead and sees the all the possibilities. Someone who is bound to make mistakes and is still willing to continue for the common good irrespective of the danger. It takes considerable courage to truly lead.Remember the lessons of historyRemember, The Boston Tea Party was a political statement made by a group of people that believed their government was not doing the best for it's citizens. We as Americans are slowly losing our constitutional rights and hard won liberties to the Bush's, the Pfizer's and the Wal-Mart's. We have not been vigilant and we are paying the price for it. George Bush would have us all under the thumb of our corporation owned government just as Bin Laden would have us all under the thumb of his patriarchal dictatorship.A patriotic terroristIf bloodshed were required to take back our country from the corporations, from big government and from the heavy hand of the law, then shed mine first. Our constitution was born out of revolution and a revolution will be required to restore it. We must re-establish the vision that is lost in the greed, the corruption and the oppression of the present establishment. We must re-stoke the forge of liberty and as a nation, pick up the hammer of freedom and strike America upon the anvil of justice and make it strong again.Len Emery Photographyl_emery@vermontel.netÂ
