I'll get to that in a minute.

First I have to ask "Why me?"

Why would anyone be fool enough to suggest that I should blog here?

I mean, it's true I run my mouth a lot and have always done so. Invited or not. I've been a Bigmouth. It's in the genes I claim. I'm half Irish and half French Canadian, see?

With a teensie bit of Red Man thrown in there from a couple of places. Most people don't realize what ME freaks native Americans actually are. I mean, they want to be able to FISH, without getting a license? Ridiculous!

Who do they think they are? We won, remember?

This land is OUR land. Rules are rules!

And that brings me around, sort of, to what I want to write about which is not comedy, unfortunately, or maybe it is in the big scheme of things.

What I think we don't do well and must do better is to rebel! In general, and specifically, to a bunch of stuff. For instance, it is clear to most of us who are not brain dead or make that claim anyway
that the GOVERNMENT of the U.S. of A. is full
of tricksters and outright criminals. Yes, I include our entire Congressional delegation in
that. Also the VT Legislature and its leaders,
Gov. Douglas and so on. So it's clear we have
two major political problems if you tend to see government as a problem, which I do, and these are "our" state and federal governments.
Let's leave Vermont out of it for now or this'll get complicated. Can't have that.

Let's say we have ONE problem only at all
levels of government and that problem is:
Money talks and only money gets represented anymore. All government is deeply infected by money. I will say "controlled". That's it
in a nutshell.

And to that I add a caveat. [Actually, it's a miniLecture, so listen up!] Working class people and other economically challenged folks
HAVE KNOWN THIS FOREVER. That's why so many of them don't vote. They're not ignorant,
we are, as in "we the elite". I'm barging in here. Yes, "We", dear readers, are among the very last to know. How can that be?

Well, up til now we have all been "doing very well" haven't we? That is to say that on any rational basis for comparison around the world
we doing-well Americans are richer than Creosus. Even today we are. [But we're sniffing a little smoke now n'est-ce pas,
and thinking about our personal fat-cat end times, yes?]

We've been very very comfortable,
voted once in awhile and paid our taxes, and
huff huff bluster bluster, what? ME get involved with all those slimebag politicians?
Me, serve my country? My lovely state? Me, run for office? Me, start a rebellion? Expose myself like that?

Yes, YOU. It's called self-government.

We can take Vermont out of the Union or try to,
an idea that does warm my heart. I am a native here. And/or we can try to take the present federal government down, which I say we MUST do. Or both. But in either case we must accept
the burden of our own governance. No more "Letting George do it". No more allowing
these totally corrupt legislatures to be peopled by totally corrupt persons, and only ever "challenged" by totally corrupt candidates for OUR seats, already prequalified
by totally corrupt regular political parties and their totally corrupt leadership.
Got that?

So that's my big "Rebellion". That's what Lieutenant Morrisseau's Rebellion is all about.
We need to run and serve like in tennis.

And note please that I DON'T say we need to join politics, join Congress, join the Vermont Legislature. No. We can't run "for" them or to join them or serve them. We need to run AT THEM as it sez on my card.

"Running AT Congress here and across the nation." FIRE CONGRESS! I say (but
we can't beat somebody with nobody). Vive
the Second Vermont Republic! (Another ditto, Yogi.)

How many secessionists are prepared to stand for an Independent Vermont by running AT the VT Legislature? Or you could send money.
