GREEN MOUNTAIN TRUTH TALK: Late Night Musings From A Vermont Plow Truck
Submitted by Greg Nixon on Fri, 02/08/2008 - 7:55pm.
I had a broad outline for my Vermont Commons Friday blog in my mind, but the unexpected 17 inches of snow here in Burlington put a damper on any downtime to clarify it to any fruition at my laptop. I will instead submit a previous review of a book discussed in my last blog entry: apologies from a very very tired VT plow truck driver/secessionist/9/11 activist..... Webster Tarpley: "9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made In the USA" http://www.amazon.com/review/product/0930852370/ref=cm_cr_pr_link_next_5?%5Fencoding=UTF8&pageNumber=5&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending 9/11 Twilight of Anglo-American Dominance, "Synthetic Terror is by far the best and most comprehensive study of the 9/11 "attacks" in print. In the process of debunking the "myth of the century" Tarpley also places 9/11 into an historical context replete with countless precedents of other synthetic terror. The event of 9/11 is not to be seen as a single day of horror, but rather as act of desperation to halt the decline of Anglo-American dominance and as pretext for world war that is preferable to a certain demise of that power. This book is also of importance to the 9/11 Truth Community in that many activists simply proclaim Bush as the plotter of this monstrous crime, when in reality he was most likely blackmailed by the rogue elements in his own administration who plotted and carried it out . The Chapter "Angel is Next" gives excellent analysis of the real origin of these "September Criminals" and will forever dispel the absurdity of the 9/11 myth as a terrorist attack conducted from laptops in a cave halfway around the world The essence of the 9/11 attacks required the U.S. military apparatus with the guiding hand of our own intelligence agencies with key moles in high level government positions. Other studies giving monocausal pretexts for such an act of desperation, such as "Peak Oil", seem less likely in comparison with Tarpley's well reasoned explanations of maintaining the world reserve currency status of the U.S. Dollar, staving off financial decline and enrichment for the Military Industrial Complex. If this is your first book on 9/11 or you are seasoned 9/11 researcher, Tarpley offers a wealth of wisdom on the origin of terrorism and a debunking of the lies of the "9/11 Myth" A must read for all in the face creeping global Fascism." * Marc Awodey, art reviewer for Seven Days VT, has challenged me to a debate on the merits of 9/11 inside job. I accept his challenge and will meet him et.al. with bells on to dispel once and for all any acceptance of the official story of the 9/11 attacks. I ask my esteemed colleagues here at VT Commons if they would sponsor a debate as moderator at Channel 15 in Burlington? Regardless, I will meet Mr Awodey with my 9/11 activist friends from here in the Champlain Valley at the studio to explain that: 9/11 was a U.S. military operation, our Republic is dead, and Vermont's independence may be our best hope against the coming global armageddonGreg Nixon

Greetings Greg and Marc -
While we like the idea of a debate between the two of you - "Vermont Commons" is not the organization to host such an event.
1. We have already made our editorial position clear on the 9/11 attacks - the official explanation simply does not make sense, and the real story has yet to be told - so we are hardly a neutral arbiter here.
2. We see the 9/11 attacks as a smaller piece of a larger puzzle - that of U.S. Empire and its emerging practice of "full spectrum dominance" around the globe. Thus, while it is fruitful to continue to ask questions about the events surrounding the 9/11 attacks, the real challenge in front of us is how to peaceably dismantle the Empire and create a more decentralized and sustainable 21st century independent Vermont republic and an UNtied States.
We suggest finding a neutral and informed objective third party to facilitate a public meeting between the two of you - and the creation of a context and a process that both of you agree upon, should you decide to go forward.
Good luck!
