DAILY MAUL: Big News in Burlington-Farmer's Market May Go Year-Round

Downtown Burlington Farmers’ Market Goes Year Round:
Winter Market in the Works for 2008-2009

Burlington - The community, excitement, and great local foods and crafts of
the summer Saturday farmers’ market in City Hall Park will move indoors for
the first time this winter. The Burlington Farmers’ Market Association is
developing a monthly winter market to be held monthly November through April
in downtown Burlington.

The market will be held in Memorial Auditorium, 10am-2pm with the kick off
market November 22. The market will then move to the third Saturday of each
month from December through April (December 20, January 17, February 21,
March 21, and April 18).

Vendors will be offering a wide array of agricultural products and crafts.
Locally grown and raised cheeses, meats, root vegetables, eggs, pickles,
preserves, honey, baked goods, and much, much more will be for sale, along
with arts, crafts, and prepared foods.

The Burlington Farmers’ Market is welcoming vendor applications from
farmers, crafts people, and prepared food vendors. For a copy of the
