What a real Winter. Mud Season's finally past, at least on my road. Except for one stubborn mystery spot. I've gotten the motorbike out, starting with a seven o'clock in the morning ride at 25 degrees. Two words: snowmobile gear. The chickens made it through the Winter in their Fortress of Chickentude. We only went through half of the wood, though we did go through a lot more propane than usual during the negative temperatures of January. Or February. Whenever it was that we had a real Vermont cold-snap. There's seedlings growing in the window. These are the important things in life right now.
On the scale of less than important, I'd like to thank Obama for continuing with White House secrecy, more bailouts, more taxes, more war and more oblivious violations of the rule of law and the federal Constitution. Funny, I had to swear to uphold that tattered thing not too long ago. I seem to support it far more than those whom it is meant to employ. And restrain. Go figure.
Interesting, and Orwellian the epithets now bandied about by Homeland Security concerning those who claim to support the Constitution.
Rest easy, lads. While I do support that venerable document, I also think it's a lost cause.

Ha ha!
Lucky poultry.
And "thanks to Obama," indeed.
Ouch.
