SECEDE & SURVIVE: Secession in the News
Submitted by Carol Moore on Mon, 08/03/2009 - 9:32am.
Rather than let myself be overwhelmed with the secession news assaulting me daily from my Google Alerts, I should at least share some of the best links and a few comments with you all on a weekly basis, until I write something in my next bout of secession creativity. Read on...
SECEDE & SURVIVE: Prepare to be Overwhelmed by Secession
Submitted by Carol Moore on Thu, 04/16/2009 - 4:25pm.
Today there are hundreds of news stories about Texas governor Rick Perry twice talking about the possibility that Texans will get so fed up with the federal government they will secede. Imagine how many stories there would be if it was 30 states and 50 big cities ready to secede. As a long time proponent of secession, my mind is already boggling. Even little Vermont might end up with its own smaller secession movements. Yet, right now a TV commentator is predicting violent anarchy and mass murder... (read on)
SECEDE & SURVIVE: Hey, Lincoln/Obama, people and states getting uppity again...
Submitted by Carol Moore on Thu, 02/12/2009 - 11:46am.
On Lincoln's two hundredth birthday, it's a great day to remind Lincoln and his naive disciple Barack Hussein Obama that Americans still love freedom, distrust government, and may yet create a liberatory continental secession movement. Just a few details of why and who enclosed...

SECEDE & SURVIVE: Sale and Williams on Obama's Lincoln Fixation
Submitted by Carol Moore on Wed, 02/04/2009 - 10:13am.
Kirkpatrick Sale and Professor Walter Williams are both advocates of secession. In the weeks following President Obama's Lincoln reference filled inauguration, both have something relevant to say. Keep reading for excerpts and links.
SECEDE & SURVIVE: New Republic article on Vermont Secession
Submitted by Carol Moore on Thu, 12/11/2008 - 9:33pm.
The New Republics title editor obviously can spell, since the title came out "Succession We Can Believe In."And the subtitle is "How Obama-esque activists are remaking the Vermont separatist movement." Lots of nice things about VermontCommons too. Check it out!
SECEDE & SURVIVE: Reports on Third Secessionist Convention
Submitted by Carol Moore on Wed, 12/03/2008 - 6:10pm.
According to reports fifty-five people, mostly regional, attended and had a good time at the mid-November 2008 Third North American Secessionist Convention in Manchester, New Hampshire. Read some excerpts from news and other enclosed. Plus the Manchester Declaration that came out of the convention. Thanks to Middlebury Institute!
SECEDE & SURVIVE: Yes, we can! SECEDE!!!
Submitted by Carol Moore on Thu, 11/06/2008 - 10:55am.
And I made the graphic, enclosed, to prove it - spread it around. It will be interesting to see how quickly people become discouraged by Obama's a) inability to fix problems, most of them created by big government policies; b) obvious exacerbation of such problems; c) appointing people like Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff? A real mafioso type, as the British BBC and Telegraph will tell you. But it takes ruthless mafioso unionists (who formerly served with Israeli Defense Forces!) to try to stop an American people bent on liberty, including through secession.
SECEDE & SURVIVE: Magnificent Argument for Secession
Submitted by Carol Moore on Tue, 10/21/2008 - 1:35pm.
I've been busy boning up on how big government programs lead to the current, predicable and predicted economic crisis - i.e. fighting with big government liberals on wikipedia to create reliably sourced articles on who's really to blame, "libertarians" (and by extensions decentralists of all stripes) or special interests of all stripes and grasping bureaucrats. All so I can better address - including writing here - why we need to dismantle big government through nonviolent secession.
SECEDE& SURVIVE: Secessionist Dropped from AK Senator Jury Pool
Submitted by Carol Moore on Wed, 09/24/2008 - 8:04pm.
Yes, it's true. This Washington DC resident won't be on Alaska Senator Ted Steven's jury in his corruption trial. Sigh? When they call you for jury duty, they warn you to be honest in responding to the twenty page questionnaire and I know jurors have been tossed in jail for withholding information that a judge later decided prejudiced the juror, so I decided baring my wicked associations and opinions was the safest course. Surprise! The prosecutors AND defense dropped me like a hot potatoe or is it potater?
SECEDE & SURVIVE: The Empire Melts Down...
Submitted by Carol Moore on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 9:18pm.
I hope you'll enjoy my long rant The Empire Melts Down... on the current economic crisis at my personal blog. Especially check out my article linked there written in the mid-1980s called Finding Freedom in Your Own Back Yard about local economics. My bottom line: Solution wise, we have to assume people will always do stupid, manic and crooked things with money, especially with lots of money. What is the best way to protect yourself? Trusting politicians and bureaucrats who are constantly corrupted by wealthy, greedy and often crooked special interests? Or hiring an affordable private consumer agency whose researchers are totally on top of which banks, investment houses, insurers are trustworthy and which are not. Who do you trust - Bill Clinton and George Bush or Ralph Nader and Consumer Reports?...Keeping things local where we can keep our eyes on them remains a pretty good idea. In economics and in government... secede and survive!!
