PROSPER VERMONT: Lockheed and the Vermont Legislature - Vote 'Em Out!

Thu, 02/17/2011 - 12:55pm

Propaganda. Politics. Are you getting a sense of how it works? We've got a Legislature run by major parties and their corporate lobbyists, who will do anythingfor handouts from major corporations, just to balance their bloated budget. At the moment they're not listening to actual Vermonters with proven alternatives. Vote 'em out!   From Juliet Buck on the F-35 in South Burlington blog: Watch this short bit on CCTV: http://www.cctv.org/stream-player-build?nid=102599

You have to be frackin' kidding me, Greco. The Air Force has an incomplete technology that MIGHT make the F-35 quieter than the F-16? You might as well have told us that they might use nonexistent nuclear fusion technology to power the planes. What? It could happen! Thanks for the heaping plateful of VTANG propoganda.

This was the sales pitch that was given to the Vermont Legislature this past May, right before they voted 122-5 in favour of the Lockheed F-35. No anti-F-35 folks were permitted to testify... in fact, no actual Vermonters were permitted to testify... a testament to how much the political machine wanted an overwhelmingly pro-F35 vote. Garbage in, garbage out. I sincerely hope that you, the concerned and community-active reader, run for legislative office in 2012. Because that's where the power is. The Tenth Amendment backs you up. The tired old strategy of running for the 'top spot', the Executive --- is dead. (Vermonters are highly sceptical of single-issue candidates.)
Noise pollution kills, click to learn why. The F-35 is a boondoggle. The Vermont Legislature are supporting Lockheed\'s plans for Vermont 122-5 and the Burlington City Council 7-7, with no regard for our health and the future of our children. Vote \'em out!!!
