We live a fast-burn life. Our society’s fast burn is like a solid rocket booster blasting off, like gunpowder exploding, like the intensely blue flame of a gas jet. Wow! Bang! Boilers, jet engines, internal combustion engines… Fires and explosions surround us, powering our way of life.
