Jobs A return to the principles of Liberty will create better-paying jobs and reduce greatly the need for social services. Our freedom to organize in the workplace must be protected. Social services staff and day care workers are better paid in a vibrant economy with real opportunities. I oppose job creation spending, which benefits Wall Street & sends jobs out of VT. |

Health Care We must create a public option, and extend the corporate tax break for buying private health insurance, to private citizens. Watch the competition begin. Watch prices go down. We must remove regulatory barriers to competition. |

Agriculture Remove regulatory burdens and price controls. Vermont needs on-farm slaughter, industrial hemp and freedom to farm as we will. We must decentralize. We need small farm starts by young people. Get the State out of the way! Land Value Tax reform will make agricultural land affordable for farmers and remove development pressure. |

Energy I support energy independence, as did George Aiken: local solutions first. Every Vermonter or community an energy company, feeding energy into the local grid: no monopolies! I oppose the use of eminent domain and mountaintop removal for 'wind farms', tax incentives which enrich wealthy corporations. The State may NOT tell us how and how not to heat and power our homes, businesses and farms. |

Public Policy To pay for what's important to us, we must first terminate corporate welfare. Protect individual rights and property: our essential Liberty. What you've made, that's yours and nobody has a right to it but you. Vermont must satisfy its pension commitments, as has Alaska: tax natural resources & land speculation, not people and business. Remove our public money from Wall Street and set up a State Bank (as has North Dakota). Make public money available for investment here at home. |
