FIVE YEARS LATER: 9/11 Truth and the Green Mountain Boys

The 9/11 Truth movement in Vermont is active.

Six of us went to the 9/11 conference in Chicago (June 2-4).

The Burlington 9/11 Action group meets regularly.

There is a Vermont Green Party impeachment resolution that puts 9/11 Truth and election integrity front and center.

There is also a proposed question for Burlington voters (and later in other cities) asking if the voters shall inform the City Council to “recognize the attacks of September 11th, 2001 as an inside job, orchestrated by individuals at the highest levels of the United States government.”

Three candidates are running with 9/11 Truth as part of their platforms.

"Loose Change" has been shown in classrooms at Harwood and Montpelier High Schools, as well as many other venues.

Dear Mr. Haddleton:

Thank you for your e-mail about Michael Meyer's article concerning the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon. I appreciate knowing of your concerns.

Regarding the questions you raise in your e-mail, a number of theories questioning the events that occurred on and before September 11, 2001 have been circulated. They are patently false. While I more often than not find myself at odds with the Administration's policies and decisions, I do not believe that it was involved in those terrorist attacks.

You may be interested in reading the final report issued by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, informally known as the 9/11 Commission. The commission, a bipartisan group of nationally respected individuals, evaluated all relevant testimony and documents related to the event and provided a detailed account of what actually happened on that fateful morning. In completing their work, the 9/11 Commission has successfully accomplished an enormous task. The final report provides thorough and valuable insight into the events and missteps leading up to the attacks of September 11 and thoroughly examines actions that took place on that unforgettable day. The first chapter in particular provides a hauntingly detailed narrative. I hope you find this information helpful.

Dear Senator Leahy:

Thank you for your response to my email. Also, I want you to know that you have earned tremendous praise for your vocal opposition to the NSA's illegal spying on U.S. Citizens.

I have indeed evaluated the 9/11 Commission Report. I am sure that you know that that report did not even remotely consider the possibility that elements within the U.S. government were actually behind any of the horrible events of 9/11. I am sure that you also know that this report did not even MENTION the collapse of World Trade Center building 7 (WTC 7), which, like the twin towers, fell suddenly, into its own foot-print, and at free-fall speed, leaving pools of molten steel at the subbasement levels. (Molten steel can only be explained by high temperature explosives.)

FEMA is unable to explain this collapse. NIST is unable to explain this collapse. The 9/11 Commission refused to even mention this collapse. Larry Silverstein (WTC leaseholder) stated that it was a controlled demolition ("they made the decision to pull, and then we watched it collapse"), and independent engineers, scientists and researchers who look into this question all agree that this was a controlled demolition.

How is it that a 47-story steel skyscraper can inexplicably collapse into dust on 9/11 and not be a matter worth investigating? Are we to believe that this building committed suicide?

You should also be aware that the millions of Americans who are looking into the truth about 9/11 fully understand that the 9/11 Commission report certainly did not evaluate all relevant documents and testimony, contrary to your claim. In fact it flatly refused to consider hundreds of obviously relevant questions and lines of reasoning, and the report itself is full of omissions and distortions (some would say "lies"). See, e.g.,

I would like to know your position on the collapse of WTC 7, in light of the failure and / or refusal of any part of our government to provide a credible explanation of this event. Do you not agree that this presents a substantial problem for the whole 9/11 story?

I am asking this question on behalf of dozens of Vermonters, and we all look forward to your reply. This question is not going to go away. The number of Americans asking this sort of question is growing by thousands every day, as I'm sure you know.

Marc Estrin to Senator Leahy

Dear Pat,

Frank Haddleton has posted your response to his recommendation of an independent investigation of the events of 9/11 in which you direct him to the 911 Commission report as a "thorough" explanatory narrative of the day's events.

David Ray Griffin has published a book (The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions) with a detailed critique of the Commission's work, which should give pause to anyone accepting its results.

The problem is this:

Each of the events of the day presents huge contradictions between the official story (19 hijackers, building meltdowns, etc.), and the photos, videos and physical facts. A very brief and truncated list might be

-- the inability of NORAD to intercept
-- the physical and architectural difficulties of "the pancake theory" of the towers' fall.
-- the completely unexplained fall of Building Seven
-- the initial state of the Pentagon wall and lawn immediately after the attack
-- the confiscation of all videos of the Pentagon event, and the release of only five inconclusive frames
-- the lack of wreckage at the site
-- the lack of wreckage at the Shanksville site
-- the widely scattered debris of Flight 93
-- the difficulty of explaining cell phone calls in the postulated narrative

The 9/11 Commission Report does not examine or explain any of these issues. Rather, it directs our attention away from them into the area of "failed intelligence."

While failed or ignored intelligence may have played a part in some events of the day, it offers no explanation whatsoever for the problems listed above which still require explanation, many of which can be most easily explained by administration complicity in the events. It is THAT possibility that needs independent examination, and THAT possibility which is stirring up those people who look at the evidence with an open mind.

Since the Commission was appointed by the administration, and its work directed (and limited) by Philip Zelikow, one could hardly expect its conclusions to implicate the White House and its advisors. Yet THAT is the dimension of most potential consequence here.

I would urge you to read Griffin's analysis of the Commission's work, and revise your sense of its adequacy accordingly. If you haven't done so, I would further urge you to spend some time with the materials unearthed and presented over the last four years by 911 researchers. Our own Vermont 911 research community (www.vt911.org) is a simple place to start, and Scholars for 9/11 Truth (http://st911.org) a larger gateway to much disturbing material.

9/11 was a crucial moment in world history, and it begs to be deeply and honestly understood, even if its implications are most uncomfortable -- and before another "9/11" is brought to pass again.

Dear Senator Leahy,

I have been copied on the correspondence among some of your constituents re" the events of 9/11. I applaud their concerns and encourage you to deal with the genie that is now out of the bottle.

There are some things from which we must no longer hide. Evidence of treason is at your door, and as a citizen, public servant, and former prosecutor, it behooves you to look at it.

I am in regular contact with Sibel Edmonds, and I wrote the seminal piece about her for the Baltimore Chronicle. >From her unimpeachable testimony, you know full well that what you wrote to Mr. Haddleton is not true.

All you have to do is to demand the release of the videos proving once and for all exactly what hit the Pentagon. Period. Their must be a reason why no-one in authority has done this. It does not look good for this country when NOT ONE PATRIOT can be found to demand this evidence.
